TEACHING

PHILOSOPHY

My underlying focus has always been to inform, educate, and elevate understanding in the minds of the students I encounter. I aim to achieve this by presenting real life scenarios, sharing applicable professional publications, and engaging students with hands-on demos. I feel it is critical to encourage course discussion, exploration, and dialogue within the classroom environment. Understanding proper techniques for critiquing each other’s work, as well as aiding in the evolution of work submissions has greatly advanced the students skills within my courses. I feel strongly about promoting student responsibility for learning through their contributions within the classroom. In addition, their interactions with the diverse backgrounds of their peers is essential to a creative and constructive environment.
