  • Experienced in developing digital content and media for the classroom
  • Versatile instructional designer able to create course content for a variety of programs including web, motion, graphic design, digital video, and photography.

EXAMPLE ONLINE COURSE DESIGN MATERIALS

Included below are developmental materials from the GD101 Applications and Industry course that I designed as a Subject Matter Expert for the Art Institutes Online.

TOPICAL OUTLINE

This initial step in designing a course is the construction of a topical outline. This document defines the projects and milestones based on the course competencies.

ASSIGNMENTS AND READINGS

This document organizes the course competencies into weekly lectures, readings, course assignments and projects.

WEEKLY LECTURE

This is a sample of a weekly lecture that I developed. In addition to creating the lecture, I designed and developed the media needed to complete the lecture.

MEDIA SAMPLES

SOFTWARE SHORT DEMO

Short demonstration video showcasing the Photoshop Swatches Panel functionality.

SOFTWARE SHORT DEMO

Short demonstration video showcasing the Photoshop Layer Panel functionality.

SOFTWARE LONG LECTURE

Long form lecture video showcasing multiple skill sets in Adobe Illustrator. This video is a step-by-step guide to assist students in the creation of a floor plan of a fashion boutique.

CLASSROOM SOFTWARE SHORT DEMO

This video was created to supplement my eClass in the Image Manipulation course. The video showcases the step-by-step process of Layer Masking in Adobe Photoshop. This technique is taught early in the semester, and I found that multiple students would have issues executing the technique from start to finish.
